A while ago I was having a discussion with one of my friends who recently launched his first business and he was still struggling with the first steps of this development process, still looking to get past the first issues and reaching out to customers. He was very excited about it but at the same time quite disappointed as the things didn’t work as well as he expected.
I know that I was not the best business consultant in the world, but I had a bit of experience from the previous tasks that I did in an industry related to his so, as a friend, I took a look and continued to discuss with him about it and discovered that one of the main issues, the reason why he was not getting the number of clients that he was looking for, was the image of his business. It was missing an modern minimalist business that would make people feel attracted to the product that he was selling.
He already had a logo, of course, but as we are talking about something like a start-up, he was still missing some points as he made the logo by himself while he was not the greatest designer in the world. Besides the webdesign logo , there were some more things related to his business image that were missing so we kept discussing for a few hours and analyzed many factors related to it and came to the conclusion that he really needed some help with his brand image. His first logo was not the best, the colors that he used were not the most attractive and his whole website was not beautiful and eye-catching enough for the majority of the customers so he knew that it was time to improve this.
I helped him to get in touch with a logo designer pro and that’s how the growth of his business really started. The online presence of his business started to be improved step by step and the results showed up as well as the number of customers doubled almost overnight.
As a conclusion for my short story, never neglect how your business looks like and before launching it, or when you get to the part when everything is started but the results are not the ones that you are expecting, make an analysis looking at your product through the eyes of the usual consumer and imagine what they would like to see. Compare it with the way you are looking at other businesses and think about what makes you have trust in a product, what makes you feel the urge to buy something and then implement it in your own business.
